In Singapore, Superior
Multi-Packaging Ltd concentrated on consolidating its core
businesses. New and more established markets were actively sought
for both metal and flexible packaging. On the technological front,
our facilities were enhanced with the acquisition of new machinery while
products were improved with on-going research and development. Our
company began the drive to develop high-end products, which feature more
complex structures. The Company will continue on its venture to
break new grounds in product improvements, innovation and overseas
expansion.
In the People’s Republic of China, Superior Multi-Packaging Limited’s
operations network includes factories strategically located in Shanghai,
Langfang, Huiyang, and Kunshan. SMPL’s first metal packaging
subsidiary in the PRC, Beijing Huade was started in 1996. Subsequently,
other subsidiaries in Kunshan, Huiyang and Shanghai, also commenced pails
and can assembly further launching competitive sales strategies to secure
the company in the China market. Its newest operation in Chengdu began
operation in 2007.
In July 1996, Superior Multi-Packaging Ltd entered
into the Vietnam manufacturing metal containers in Ho Chi Minh
City. Vietnam has a strong market for metal packaging products as
the country’s economy improves with the years. Superior
Multi-Packaging (Vietnam) Co Ltd became operational in July 2002 and has
started the production of plastic pails and metal containers for the
thriving market in Vietnam. The buoyant construction industry bodes
well for the subsidiary.
Superior
Multi-Packaging Limited’s other core business is producing flexible
packaging materials, which has a promising and significant scope for
expansion in overseas markets. Our company is meeting this
